It seems very odd that Russ would leave it until he's near the noose before roleclaiming a vanilla town role. I suppose there's no benefit to all the vanilla roles roleclaiming, as they're all 0-1 so nothing would be certain, and all it would basically do is narrow down the probable band members for the bad guys, so I guess by roleclaiming so late he's kinda protecting the town/band's interests.

I find it hard to believe that the Natzees wouldn't have killed overnight, though. Few possibilities to my mind:

1) Cras is the Nazi, was roleblocked by the Chic Lady, and is double-bluffing about it to try and stay under the radar
2) Cras isn't the Nazi, was roleblocked by the Chic Lady, Nazi didn't kill.
3) Cras is the Nazi, WASN'T roleblocked by the Chic Lady, but is trying to draw her out into a roleblock so that they can bump her off.

Unless I see anything else compelling, I'm sticking with Cras.

And I wasn't suggesting that you were actually hinting that you had night actions: more of a knowing tell of phrasing that perhaps might bely your true reasons.

Anyway, my main problem at the moment is that the lead on Joan was instigated by Russ. Ok, DavPaz first voted for him but it seemed to be to find out whether he would come out of his shell. It did. However the voting block this morning has not had the same result. I suspect he's an evening player. I share Mimi's concerns about quiet people in that it does slow the game down and it's difficult to engage in any meaningful discussion if they nip in for one paragraph and then bugger off never to be seen until the next day. It's very frustrating. I would have expected that Joans would role claim by now for example but since he's not here then we can't continue any discussion to everyone's annoyance.

I'm still not convinced that Russ is a confirmed good guy. There are plenty of good guy characters and he could have taken a punt at one of those not being occupied. Everyone who role claims as town has a good chance of hitting an unoccupied slot. Thus thence and therefore I shall be suspicious of any role claims as Town for that reason alone.

I'd suggest maybe that this block can be SK's as I think the SK would be more likely to start/jump on a bandwagon to get a lynch.

I'd be content with Zaphod/Russ at the moment. I'd jump in and kill off Joans if gets one more (just cause he's quiet) but I'm unhappy with this being lead by Russ.
