Morning comes to Grumblington-on-the-Wold, and everyone gathers in the Town Square to see the events of the night.

The topic of conversation is Slightly Green who was so nearly lynched the previous day... but he is nowhere to be seen. The group quickly go to his house to see if he overslept, but once there they find him on the floor, a very deep knife wound in his neck, and a note reading "Life is not a game".

He's dead. Going through his stuff you find loads of chocolates, flowers and mixtapes for the object of his desires.

Slightly Green was the Town Romeo

Everyone is downcast to find another body, and arrangements for the funeral have to be discussed... but where's a man of the cloth when you need him?

OH NO! DavPaz is nowhere to be found!

Everyone rushes to the church to find the vicar lying dead, shot in the back of the head, presumably by a Mafioso.

Looking through his church you find the usual Bibles, but also a very sharp knife with two notches on the hilt.

DavPaz was the Righteous Hand of God.

Yikes. These are dark days for the town. Still, at least the funfair is looking lively...

ApplePieofDestiny
Joans
Trooper
Bobbyaro
Malc

Craster
Goddess Jasmine

With 14 people left, 8 votes are needed for a lynch, and 11 votes for a no-lynch.

Today will last until Tuesday at 10am.

Okay this will take a minute or two to digest , our good Vicar seems to have been more than a little .... serious about people making their way into the hereafter and him not being around is good.

I'm sorry to see SG go , and I'm concerned that if Romeo has gone Juliet may either not be far behind or may become unhinged :-(

To keep with the doom and gloom stuff I'd think we're now looking at another recruit into the Carnie life , so thats at least 3 , plus probably 3 mobsters would mean at least 6 'non town' left out of 14 - its getting close to the stage where we cant win (or need the two bad sides to hit each other)

Feel bad for Slightly Green, I guess he never found his sweetheart :(

As for the "good" father DavPaz, he seems to have become more Silas than Friar Lawrence :o

Not sure why you think there is a Juliet unless I have midded something. Surely TOWN Romeo implies that it is a role he undertook rather than that being his name, therefore he is wooing many, not just after the one.

I don't like those figures Zaphod, they are not good at all, we need to get out serious thinking heads on here.

I'm off to check out the bodies, may be some time.

Sweet Lord, the times I went and confided my soul to the Vicar! How could this have happened.

And dear sweet slightly green, he never tried anything on with me, thank the lord, but i'm so sorry that he has gone :( I'm left thinking about his last words...

We have information though, we can survive! I know we can!

Lets look back at the block voting on known good people

Nickachu vote:
Trooper
sinister agent
Goddess Jasmine
Mr Russell
Alarm
KovacsC
Grim...
Malc
Slightly Green

Slightly Green vote:
Craster
Mr Russell
zaphod79
Joans
Gilly
Trooper
Bobbyaro
Alarm

Other than my name, there are two other names that jump out as being in both lists
Alarm
Mr Russell

I also have a FoS on Bobbyaro from yesterday, after his pushing for a vote against me so strongly and being in the list for the SG vote, so I have three names I would be willing to vote for today
Alarm, Mr Russell and Bobbyaro.

Just to let you know, and as I always have done and always will do, I will share my information for the good of the town, I was locked in again last night.

I wrote a speech on a bit of paper but it just blew out my hand as I tried to to start speaking so ill need to try again. I am suspicious of people who have been quiet or went quiet since the start of this terrible incident. Mainly, joans, GJ, Alarm and Ls thats just off the top of my head people that I have a memory of being quiet so if they have been more active then its obviously not been much of substance as its not stuck in my head. I also feel like MR Russell and APOD have been chatty but without really saying much, much in the way DavPaz was. I would be happy to vote for any of these people unless someone comes in with a knockout theory on someone else.

Just to let you know, and as I always have done and always will do, I will share my information for the good of the town, I was locked in again last night.

(above quote edited).

I'm not sure whether you are bad or just stupid. Either way, you'd be advised to keep your mouth shut, if you had only said in this post that you was locked in again last night, I'd have removed you from my FoS list. Claiming a block (when you haven't been) would be a ridiculous claim twice, so I believe you.

However, you being blocked last night only means (from what I can discern from the combined night actions of the past three days) that you weren't a Mafia who was aiming to carry out an action on the nights that you were locked in, therefore this could be an interesting cover for you. We can, however, be pretty comfortable that you are not the carnie ringleader, or the guy who we considered to be a Serial Killer yesterday. Also, someone, good or bad, wants to either protect you, or protect us from you.

However, (going back to bad or stupid) you've missed my name off the Nickachu vote list above. Is this intentional? Isn't this another occurrence of you making an extremely basic mistake? This concerns me. A Lot.

Also, while we know that Nickachu was actually 'good', I still maintain that he behaved in such a way that anyone voting for him to be lynched would be entitled to do so.

At this point its as good a start as any.

Yup, I missed your name, which was a mistake. A lot of names, a lot of votes, it happens. It's not like I haven't got form on making those kinds of mistakes! It's a shame Grim... isn't around to check my working.

I'm providing information, i'm giving out theories. Sorry if you don't like that...

I was trying not to be this specific, but we need to know who to trust. As always, sharing information.

Weird note in the town square:
"Townie Romeo. You’re a Townie, and you recently slept with the person you’ve always been admiring from afar, [redacted]. You know them well enough to know that they’re definitely a Townie. You love that person so much now that you’d do anything to keep them alive, though to maintain cover, you are not allowed to communicate with them outside of the 'town square'."

Slightly Green just before nightfall
" i don't blame Craster for her sweet misguided witch hunt against me. In fact i will leave my mix tape to her!"

Which says to me that Craster was a townie at the start, he could have course been taken by the Carnies...

It is easy to make mistakes. It is also very easy to not make mistakes. Repeatedly.

At the very least, I think you're the village idiot. However, possibly something more sinister too.

By my count there were 27 votes yesterday, by 15 different people, plus votes that were intended to work, but didn't get put into the machine correctly. It's easy to miss one.

Of course, and I have no idea what Mr Russ is, so lynching him might be the best thing ever. On the other hand it might not.

So give us another theory on who to vote for, one that doesn't involve naming the love of Slightly Green's life, who we know was a townie and he very strongly pointed towards at the end of yesterday...

RE: Romeo / Juliet - no evidence just my reading of the Romeo card in the town square.

RE: Previous voting paterns - can I point out the obvious flaw in here ?

Those voting patterns are very useful to identify people who's allegiance doesn't change - so although they *might* be useful to identify mafia (with a bit of luck) they dont help us with the Carnies - and if you look at basic numbers - we have 14 town members , if there are 3 mafia and we knew exactly who they all were and voted for one today / tomorrow / the next day the town will still lose because the carnies will be up to 6 out of 11 members left !

Yes , sorting out the mafia is important but we need to strike a balance and get the carnies !

(I have a terrible feeling that this might actually be too late)

What you say makes sense, but how do we go for the carnies? I don't see a way of identifying them other than luck at the moment, if we do have any more info then it isn't obvious to me. Going for the mafia on info we do have is better than trusting to luck?

Do we know for sure there are three mafia members?

Do we know there are three carnies? Perhaps they tried to 'convert' someone who was killed last night (and the night before).

So, there may be fewer carnies out there?

They only hints we will have for the Carnies are people who act differently , or who contract things they have previously said , the difficulty for that is out of 14 people , there are lots of 'quiet' ones who only say one or two things a day so its very hard to spot anything different.

I should also say that i've probably painted a worst case scenario above - there could be townfolk who are immune to the carnies ways , and I have no idea what will happen if a carnie tries to recruit someone from the mafia , but I am sure we're running low on time.

Hmm. A comment in the radio broadcast this morning stands out for me: Still, at least the funfair is looking lively...

This does suggest that there probably are three (or more?) carnies.

I was in a pretty confident mood about Craster and believed he was a townies but given comments by joans I'd be willing to accept he's been recruited and vote for him.

That's the spirit. Another Guiness Gilly?

I don't think Craster is a baddie, unless he's been recruited by the carnies.

Alarm I suspect that's what we've just been told and I have no reason to doubt it unless someone comes along and makes things interesting.

Ahem, I'd been looking for another piece of paper to be posted up, I hadn't realised it had been written on a piece already there.

As you were. :D

I would point out that while I did indeed vote for SG, I argued strongly against voting for nickachu.

Of course, anyone could be a carnie recruit, but I would suggest that the carnies would rather recryuit townies than kill them - it's the mafia they want to kill.

Well, we also have no reason to believe it, but I'd be willing to take the chance on joans being on the level, as he will be a very quick lynch if he is lying.

I'm concerned that he is a sacrificial lamb from the mafia, or mistaken though, which will put us one townie down and worst case two more overnight...

I'm not mistaken, as you will see.
I'm not mafia either, but you'll have to take my word on that.

I said last night that I didn't suspect SG (or kovacs), but was happy to cast a vote if the majority voted for someone. Which I did just before nighttime.

Can you say if Craster is a mafioso or a carney/other bad rôle?
