Is this a new C&H strip? Or just a well done tribute?

I probably should've picked up on that.

Today I learned (and I suppose I should've picked up on this sooner, too) that Calvin and Hobbes are named after John Calvin and Thomas Hobbes

That's nice. It's the first Calvin & Hobbes strip by someone else that hasn't made me want to drown people. (Grr, especially that one postulating a horrible imaginationless pill-popping future for Calvin.)

Mm, it wasn't brilliantly written, but affectionately so, and very lovingly drawn. So I give it good marks. Plus - Mr. Bun! :D

EDIT: I see there are more of them! Nice work guys, but STOP THERE.

Also, anyone else think that Calvin's mum was, um, kinda cute?

I thought it was lovely, and I agree about the pill popping one, that was awful!

There is another one on the site.

I liked the pill popping c+h strip. It was delightfully depressing. I liked these strips too.

I agree with Nirejhenge - the pill-dropping script was superbly gut-wrenching.

Wasn't the idea behind the pill popping strip to show how drugs such as ritalin can be prescribed and turn kids into unimaginative zombies? The ruining of the spirit of C+H was representative of the ruining of children.

They're effectively the same cartoon, it's just the one Grim... posted uses a slightly nicer image from the cartoon.

Well, no, the pictures are different. Calvin's pen doesn't move, and Hobbes is sitting differently.
