The world is in chaos, wars are everywhere, even Paul McCartney is having no luck calming the situation with a game of footy…

The UN gets together to talk things through, but the situation is so incendiary, that everyone has come in disguise!
We must stop this madness, anybody who can't be trusted will have to be voted off the council and play no more part in any UN decisions...

We need to save the planet people, your countries have put their trust in you, please save civilisation for your children... THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!

Oh, and sort out global warming while your at it, kthanxbye.

With 19 players alive, 10 votes are required for a lynch, and 14 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Day 1 Ends at 10pm Monday.

Remember, you are voting people off the council, not for lynching, but the principal stays the same!

I was expecting delegates to arrive Monday - seems someones secretary missed a memo. Still I managed to get here in time it seems - but maybe a few delegates will be delayed!

Carrying my papers, I come rushing in to grab my seat.
I see the Swiss & Germans are here already, very prompt.

Lot's of empty seats.

I've not even glanced at the rules. Would it be a giggle to try and play without doing so?

I don't even know where to start, I think we have to lynch people, because we all have our own win conditions, but it is going to be difficult to get majorities.

Erm, okay. Shockingly, my towel reference isn't a meta-double-bluff "zomg I'm a German" erm, bluff. Just a bit of banter.

Note that I did not say that I am German, I asked whose towel it was. :)

Anyway, I'll shut up for now, as my phone calls are being monitored.

Amusingly, there's no real benefit in claiming one side over the other. There's no 'good guys', there's just 3 sides vying to win.

Except the Dutch and Germans, who everybody else needs to lose.

Surely the Swiss are playing the role of 'Town' here?

Hardly.

The Swiss, Dutch, and Germans need everyone else out of the game.
The Americans and British need the Libyans and Afghans out of the game
The Libyans and Afghans need the Americans and British out of the game.

So, in a delightfully ironic way, the 'Peaceables' are the most agressive in this game.

But the Peaceables have no kill role, do they?

They're essentially a Town pitted against two different Mafia.

Hello fellow delegates, i certainly hope there isn't a comic mix-up between Obama and Osama sat around the same table. Well since someone didn't inform me earlier that the free lunch had opened i am off to get some grub.

*Wonders why Fox News is on in the canteen....*

Good evening fellow delegates. I have not had the chance to read the briefing notes provided to us before we arrived, I will read them over dinner in a local restaurant tonight. Can anyone recommend anywhere good?

Aha, trying to lure out someone who knows about places to eat in New York are we? Like an American would? Which makes you... an American yourself because it's all a double bluff! Aha!

Is rooting out a Yankee doodle a good thing? For the game's purposes they are just as much an enemy as the heathen A-rabs, yes? Feels like they shouldn't be though, have I missed something? Are the yanks in some way beneficial to us? I've confused myself :S
