A quiet morning. Perhaps the shame of the previous evening lays heavy on the hearts of the town. One man, seemingly breaking under pressure, wanders to his car, fixing to speed off and forget his life in Sixwick.

The door slams, the engine turns over... and the car disappears in a huge fireball. Twisted metal and chunks of charred corpse rain down on the stunned crowd.

Christine was a Townie

Well it makes sense that they weren't both mafia as it was a suicidal tactic, I'd be interested to know if Trooper gave something away that Curio picked up on, or if it was just a really lucky guess.
I still stand by my argument that we should have lynched trooper because if we hadn't, we'd be doubting him for the rest of the game.

Yes the alliance with Curio made him suspicious

I think we need to analyse the quiet players to get them to come out and talk. I'm going to be away for most of the morning so will check in at lunchtime.

This is why you have to be really careful who you stick up for in these games. I never even entertained the possibility that Grim... could have been lying until the final vote was cast, then I got a bit nervous. I knew Curio was lying, but had no idea if Grim... was the real doctor or not, I just liked what he was saying.

Anyway, going back a bit, is it possible (and I'm assuming not, because DavPaz has made it sound like they're still in the game), that Kalmar was killed/replaced by the mysterious stranger? Although that would obviously mean that Curio was the stranger as he was the don.

I answered a direct question about the role of the Stranger. Any inferences drawn from that are down to the players.

Read what I said yesterday, I said it would be a stupid tactic for them both to be mafia, but Curiosity either knew that Trooper had been investigated or got very lucky with his guess. There seemed to be more chance of the former. It's not like I was the only person that voted for him.

So there's between 1 & 3 mafia left then?
Don dies, goon replaces him and dies, 1 or 2 left and the MS still out there.
Don replaced by MS, MS killed, Goon replaces MS, 1 don & 1 or 2 goons left.

I think that is correct. From breifly reading the rules again, I can make out through the cola and lard stains that its pretty much Townies vs Mafia now, with the exception of a MS, which could potentially have been Curiosity. Otherwise, he could have been a goon who ascended to the old Don spot.

Oh, right, I need to pay more attention to things. I just re-read bits of day 3 to see if Trooper gave anything away, and he did talk about the doctor a lot, so maybe Curio picked up on that, anyway, that's not important, the important bit is that two people were killed on night 2, so either Curio was originally the MS, or there's still a serial killer out there that's not managed to kill anyone for a few days.
So I think there's still 2-3 goons out there (although 1 is now the don).

Good point yes, so Curio was the MS then, unless any second SK is just completely inept (or offline a lot?!)
Given that there is no protective role, and it would have been massive coincidence for any second SK to target the same people Grim... was shielding, we have to assume that there is no second SK then.

Unbelievable.

Dunno why the mafia went for Christine to be honest. I'd have thought they'd off someone more quiet.

Oh, and Bobby, to answer your question yesterday about going for Joans a few days ago being more sensible than going for Trooper - I actually may have been wrong about that. I did have a line of reasoning but it completely escaped me when you asked. Sorry about that :S

I dunno about you lot, but I'm buggered if I know what to do now. Beyond falling back to a voting for a random person and seeing what happens, anyway.

Aaaah, right now me hearties. I have been aaaah reading things, and I don't have a huge aaaahmount to go on, but there be two people who be top a me plank walkin' list.
Goddess Jasmine be a fine figure of a woman, but that doesn't mean she is not hiding a murderous heart. The main piece of evidence I have against her is her rather lame defence of her voting for Mr Russ. Coupled with this:
Curiosity AKA MAfia Don wrote:
GJ started the lynch on Russ, but I think it'd be rare for the Mafia to be so bold so early on in trying to get a bandwagon rolling.

So the Maaafia Don be deflecting aaaatention aaaaway from you, eh?

The second person who be attracting me radaaaaah, be one Sinister Agent. He is a bright chap, and fairly talkative, nothing wrong with these things, but his decisions and justifications have been inconsistent with the logic he states, (as above at his own confession). I am not convinced of SA just yet, but GJ...

Indeed, my trooper/joans thing was a bit of a brainfart. I think I was basically already set on going for Joans (at the time - since then we've obv. learned enough to change things), so dismissed going for trooper instead without really giving it enough consideration. Although having said that, we now know that Trooper was innocent (somehow), so it may have been right after all.

I dunno how else I've been inconsistent, though.

As for GJ... well, being quiet is about as suspicious as she's been, far as I can tell. I don't feel strongly enough to vote for her at this point.

Hm.

In the interests of opening this up a little, [vote: flis].

Can you give a reasoning behind this?
It's difficult to decide who to choose, we do not want to lose another townie.

I feel Joans is a townie though, are you sure.
He defended himself quite well I thought with all the Curio, Grim & Trooper business ... and they are all dead?

But he is still here?

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind voting for Joans.

If he were mafia, why would he have denied being protected/roleblocked when curio claimed it? It would have been smarter to 'confirm' Curio's claim, surely?

By all means vote for me, I admit that if I was mafia it would be a fantastic plan, but please read back over the last couple of days and see if it's likely.
In fact, Flis either hasn't been paying any attention, or is one of the remaining goons, but I'm currently inclined to go with the former.

I have some information, please make of this what you will. This is the final tally from day 3 when I wasn't lynched, and one more vote would have killed me:
curiosity: 1 (Bobbyaro)
gospvg: 1 (Mr Dave)
bobbyaro: 2 (Gilly, sinister agent)
joans: 7 (LaceSensor, Alarm, Trooper, Curiosity, Goddess Jasmine, flis, gospvg)

Not voted: 3 (christine, joans, grim...)

Of the not voted, we have me and two confirmed (now dead) townies. In the voting for me pile, we have one mafia and one townie (both now dead). I'd be really inclined to look at the other people voting for me as a couple of mafia suspects, because you'd have expected someone to put the boot in if they were around at the time.

So... [vote:Goddess Jasmine]

I missed this part, that is very true and a good point. I was too caught up in the whole Curio roleclaiming thing and feeling convinced he was a dirty liar, to look at how it implicated, or not, others.

Hmm.

Hmm. SA makes a very good point, I had neglected to take that in to account. When Curio roleclaimed, I believed Grim... so didn't really take who was implicated, or not, in to consideration.
Right oh, well I'd be inclined to go with Joans based on his logic. I need to see what reason bobby gave for voting Curio on day 3....so [vote:unvote]

If gospvg had stopped tripping my "trying his best to not look like a mafia" sense, then I'd be voting for flis. But since she's prettier, I'll stick with [vote: gospvg]

After a gigantuan dinner, I will be back to see what anyone else reckons, and cast my vote before slothing off for a nightcap (triple decker club sandwich thats winking me in the eye)...

Talkative Townie.
Is that not the whole point of this game to partake?

Or just sit back quiet and say nothing in the hope you will go unnoticed?

I want to hear from Goddess on why we should not vote for her?

The logic put forward by Jonas seems decent so I would probably vote for GJ. My Bobby votes are just because he made me suspicious, no real reason why just a gut instinct, which is daft when you consider its just writing on a page but I'd rather go with my own thoughts than those of other people without proper reason.

Hmm.

I have been looking at the votes...and trying to eliminate those I think aren't bad guys. Day 4 is probably the most telling day as the vote was only between Curiosity and Joans and out of 15 players, 8 votes were needed for the lynch. The mafia didn't need to throw suspicion from themselves by voting for Curio, it was early in the day that he was lynched and those we suspect either piled in too early (Jazzy, Joans) or too late in the day (gospvg) for it to make sense for them to be mafia. They could have stayed quiet for much longer or voted for someone else.

At the moment, I will [vote:Sinister Agent] because when I voted for Joans this morning, after failing to spot he had basically fucked Curio on Day 4 by denying he had been visited by him, he seemed to have forgotten to take into account that he voted for Joans on Day 4, along with Trooper when everyone else believed Grim... and Joans, especially after how weak Curios position was and the fact he was playing a poor bluff. Then on Day 5 SA really got the campaign against Trooper off the ground. I know he wasn't the first to cast his vote but he was the most aggressive in his reasoning and turning everything Trooper said in to him definitely being part of the mafia.

FOS at Lace and Gilly...Although if I had to put money on it, I'd say Lace and SA were definitely 2 of the goons and finger Gilly as the 3rd (if one exists but I'm not convinced as she has seemed to have been largely absent).

So the Maaafia Don be deflecting aaaatention aaaaway from you, eh?

I didn't have a lame defence, I justified my vote which obviously more than one person agreed with, it wasn't so lame then was it?

As for Curio's comment, even as a mafia you have opinions about people, and I am not going to even attempt to defend what someone else has said!

If he were mafia, why would he have denied being protected/roleblocked when curio claimed it? It would have been smarter to 'confirm' Curio's claim, surely?

Good point but did Curio must have know that he was going to get lynched so Joans wanted to protect himself?

I agree with this, it was obvious when Curio roleclaimed that he would be found out that night one way or another, why lose another mafia as well?

I want to hear from Goddess on why we should not vote for her?

Because we don't need to lose another townie.

Having just read Flis' post, I don't think she is scummy, although I don't know who to vote for really. I'm tempted to go for Dave or Gilly simply as neither of them have really contributed (Dave moreso) but then obviously that doesn't really tell us anything either and would split the vote further.

VOTE UPDATE

bobbyaro: 1 (Gilly)
sinister agent: 1 (flis)
goddess jasmine: 2 (Bobbyaro, Joans)
gospvg: 2 (Mr Dave, Alarm)

Not voted: 4 (lacesensor, gospvg, sinister agent, goddess jasmine)

With 10 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch, and 8 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Just when I was wondering where you were you post a counter update?
Any reason why I should not vote for you?

I still stand by my argument that we should have lynched trooper because if we hadn't, we'd be doubting him for the rest of the game.

Yes, because it's always good to get rid of another townie.

How, exactly, did you know that Curio was lying?

Goddess Jasmine be a fine figure of a woman, but that doesn't mean she is not hiding a murderous heart. The main piece of evidence I have against her is her rather lame defence of her voting for Mr Russ. Coupled with this:

Sorry, that was for myself really, I was just putting together my other post above.

I'm a townie, nothing more nothing less. I can't really say or do anything to back this up though.

My suspicion is pointing back to Joans because of the whole Curio saga

I honestly don't know. Will wait and see what else is said first. We're not exactly close to a lynch at the moment.
