Super Scum : The Sequel (Richard Donner Director's Cut Extended Edition Fan Edit Version 7)

A sunny day at Metropolis prison, all is well in the world…
Superman and his two good buddies, Batman and Robin have taken the opportunity to have a picnic in the grounds.

<BOOM>

What's that noise?

<BOOM>

Yes, that noise

It appears that Lex Luthor and his cronies have turned up, and they are attacking the prison, too many members of their volleyball club have been locked up and if they don't get some out, they will have to forfeit their next match! No way they are going to lose to the Smallville Middle School under 12's… again…

But all is not as it seems, the attack is a distraction, Lex flicks a switch on his robot suit and a mysterious dome covers the immediate vicinity, a dome made of kryptonite. Everyone is trapped!
(Oh, and when Lex flicked the switch a kryptonite infused length of rope fell out of his pocket, no one notices, maybe that will come in useful in future? Nah...)

Seems as if Lex made a few miscalculations on the dome makeup, not only has it trapped everyone, but it has also had the side effect of removing specific parts of specific peoples memories, and has also taken away their ability to recognise some people.
How strange.

Only one way to settle this…

First mistake, sorry. Please note a change in win conditions for the innocent bystanders.

They have gone from:
Primary win condition : All bad guys dead
Secondary win condition : All bad guys in jail

To:
Primary win condition : All bad guys dead or in jail

As the original win conditions puts them at odds with the superheroes...

Sorry about that!

Even Evil Superman...?

Morning all. Lex dropped a kryptonite rope - I presume that's for lynching with, rather than anything more sinister?

What a lovely day for a trip out on a large passenger ship, or possibly two large passenger ships sailing oddly close to each other for some reason. I sure hope nothing anarchic happens.

Like this one; what about a day 1 mass claim?

Batman and Robin could back each other up, otherwise it's a bit of a free-for-all. And we'd be stuck with supers having to use their protection for anyone who's a claimed good guy, too.

Although I'm sure the logistics of this could work, it would make for a 'going through the motions' sort of game.

Time to read the rules in detail, methinks.

Potentially (or be down loads, anyway. I've not counted exactly, so feel free to correct). It's probably more likely that at least a couple of the power roles will target the same people, though. And investigating is probably more worthwhile to the hero types than nabbing at this point.

Quick question about the rules: What happens if the only people left outside of jail are villains? They've surely won then, because all the good types and innocents are neutralised?

I am not religious and my maths skills arn't that hot either but erm.....

Us good guys have one kill role from Batman, 4 arrest roles (3 if Batman goes for a kill) or investigates and protects that could get involved also and some townies who just happen to be wearing their underpants over their trousers, well i am anyway :hat:

The evil bad guys have 3 kill roles 2 of which can also investigate and one who waves kryptonite around if he feels like it.

so it won't be a total blood bath but its going to be a very active night, well i think it may be anyhow

So are we going for a first night Lynch or is that not in our favour, because I will need to get any vote in tonight.

No, but when it's two evil people and one jailer left, they'll know who he is. At that point, they have no choice but to kill him, which could actually cost them the game because it would release the good guys, who would then know who the villains are.

If the goodies are all locked up except the jailer, and there are still villains free, that strikes me as a victory for the crimms.

Or, for those of us who aren't mental, trying to clarify a rule so that arresty characters are aware of all the consequences of their actions. But whatever.

ooc: very busy with work, will be mostly evening updates.

So, I think, as ever we need to establish as many data points as possible, so I'd like to see a couple of people under the microscope to see what they've got to say.

I'm going to look back through the day so far and see what I can see.
