It's morning, and once again, somehow, nobody is dead.

Oh wait, what's that? I was wrong.

Poor Mr Russell is dead. He's been thoroughly shot in the face with a blaster.

People search through his things and find a lovely white helmet, and a book entitled 'How to succeed in the Imperial Army'.

Mr Russell was a Stormtrooper.

Ahahaa - did Palpatine just send his Stormtroopers out to kill one of their own?

Congrats to Trooper , and the blaster shot would suggest that it was an Empire hit.

However , we need to remember there are other things going on behind the scenes and that Hutt / the Jawa could be racking up their targets.

Fair play to Trooper, you played us like the fools that we are :P

Also, yes, it would certainly appear that Palpatine has taken out one of his own. I would assume that if Luke had targeted the Stormtrooper it would be lightsaber wounds rather than a shot to the face.

Hahah, well done Trooper. You played that very nicely, didn't over-do it.

I know technically he was rebel but it could have been a worse result.

So... WTF was with the stormtrooper kill?

Trooper for the earliest meet of win conditions on record.

All *without* a roleclaim. Good work sir.

Right. Score one to the Rebels and back to square one.

So - last night Palps wasn't roleblocked. Any of our roleblockers who may have switched targets last night care to tell us who they blocked on night 1?

(I'm assuming a roleblock on Palpatine stops the ST kill, rather than blocking the actual trooper).

I would imagine that our roleblocker has two chances of stopping the kill, presumably he can block Palpatine or (by luck) block the Stormtrooper that Palpatine selects.

Although that would mean that Palpatine nominates a Stormtrooper, which he can't do as he doesn't know who they are. Unless Curio just asks Palps for a number from 1 to X.

Well played Trooper..

So only one died, does that mean a lot of roleblocks were done again?

Er, possibly not, true.

Still, switching back tonight would appear to entirely scupper the stormtroopers as a killing force for the rest of the game.

Haha, brilliant! Got to say, if they carry on like this then I'm still happy to not vote and let our power roles find out even more :) I know that Jabba and Jawa could be finding their targets but if Luke is targetting people every night to free slaves then I would expect him to hit them at some point.
It seems a bit ridiculous to be on day three and proposing a no vote though so I'm going to reread yesterday and come back.
Also, fair play to Trooper he did brilliantyl to acheive his win condition so quickly. Not the bes to hit someone who isn't against the town but still miles better than hitting an out and out goody and I suppose if eh stayed he could have just confused things.
Goign to try and pay attention to some of Mr Russells posts as well, maybe missed something?

Unless they didn't do anything on the first night, and the RB merrily blocks Luke for the rest of the game.

First thing I'm unsure of on day two reading it back is this-
Malia wrote:
Skywalker probably hasn't done anything, Obi-Wan probably role blocked someone.
Fett probably bagged a Jedi
Someone knows who Ackbar is, unless he was roleblocked

Why would you assume Fett bagged a Jedi when surely the odds of that are pretty low given the numbers? Why would you also asssume luke did nothing when he could eb searching for slavers to kill without risking innocents?

Then they would either 'do nothing' again, so there is no kill, or 'kill X'

If there is no kill, then the rebels are up, if there is a kill, the RB then knows that it isn't that person, so win/half win?

Dammit, just read a post by mr russell where he lists all the powercters and misses out the stormtrooopers. all right they cant act independantly but they can communicate which given there could be up to three of them is a pretty decent advantage. Looks like his bosses didnt notice that either though since they appear to have killed him.

1) no I celebrate taking out Jar Jar Binks!
I'd count it being worse if we'd hit a vanilla rebel, or it could even have been someone important. So, not all that bad a result.

2) the explanation doesn't really make any sense to me. Admittedly I haven't read the rules fully so there's probably something I'm missing.. but "why".

Seems like you're stretching for a reason to accuse me here!

We've still not got anything concrete, so stretching is pretty much all we have ?:|

Had a look through the voting patterns yesterday and can't see anything helpful (although I'm pretty terrible at that sorta thing!) Maybe we should ask 3PO and Ackbar to pipe up? Although obv we don't want them dead yet. Tricky, tricky...

Stop trying to get people to roleclaim! Who was it that got told off for it yesterday, DavPaz? And now you're doing it! Dodgy. Ackbar etc please don't step forward it's far too early and you're too useful. Very suspicious.

Obviously I'm not asking anyone to say "My name is C3PO, human-cyborg relations"! Just pointing out that it would be incredibly helpful if our investigator roles were passing on more info...

And there just isn't enough paint in the world is there ;)

You were sort of role-claiming jarjar on the first day. Now if I picked up that hint correctly you're saying you have an investigative power.

So, there's some reasoning for ya. Davpaz = a bad un.

Hello. Ackbar blocked me last night. That won't tell you anything useful, because Ackbar doesn't get to investigate. There's a good chance he blocked Palpatine night one though, and can continue to do so - so let's stop trying to out him, eh?

So you know who Ackbar is now then, Craster?

If that's true, and your supposition about Ackbar blocking Palpy is true (which is impossible to know for sure, granted), that means that DavPaz must be Palpy by virtue of also knowing who Ackbar is.

But then Palpy would have tried to ice Ackbar the next go to prevent any more irritating roleblocks, surely?

This is true, and would indeed suggest that Paedopalps wasn't roleblocked on night 1 after all.

That seems logical to me - except we don't know for certain that Palpatine was roleblocked...

By that line of reasoning, that must mean that DavPaz isn't Palpy, then.
