It's Late and I've had an Idea thread...

So we have threads for Bezzie Mates CoD4 and Snoreza 2* and a rather grand Obscure Games thread. So how about a thread for the co-operative experience? In case people want to scratch the itch of killing stuff with a InterChum, it can be a help in letting people organise?

I'm not sure how needed this is. I mean it could just fit in the Obscure thread, but as Co-op is typically only for 2 people it wouldn't really work for a group sesh kinda thing. I dunno.

Got the idea whilst playing through Gears of War this weekend and realising that its rather poor single player would have been rendered 'quite good' if someone else was playing (Aside; Why did the plot suddenly fall apart so badly? I assume they had to massively cut corners to release on time so just decided to skip the exposition).

The Terrible Thesis of Terror means I'm busy as a Fox but if you see me on line and fancy a co-op game of any of the below let me know.

Big Games
  • Halo 3
  • Gears of War
  • Lego Star Wars II
  • Crackdown

Arcade Games
  • Assault Heros
  • Doomy Doomy Doom Doom
  • Ikaruga - though lag makes this pretty much unplayable
  • N+

I like the idea, except I dont have a xbox at the moment, I think saints row 2 has online co-op so Ill be up for a partner for that. Also has lego star wars 2 got online co-op I thought it was the whole saga version only.

I don't know about LSWs I just assumed...

I think Halo 3 can do 2 to 4 people Co-op. It would be a nice to try and have 'The Beteo/BeeX Collective' get through the whole game. With individual sessions carrying on from where the last session finished. With people dropping in and out as they please.

A good idea, but I'm not interested in Halo as I've done that to death in co-op mode. Switchball has co-op levels which are quite fun. I'd be up for this (plus some races to get the achievements).

Crackdown is excellent fun in co-op, but again I've pretty much done it to death. I need to get Gears of War but would then definitely be interested in that.

Doom is always brilliant (and hilarious) in co-op, especially when you've got four players.

This is very true, admittedly. I reckon that game has had from me about 5-7 hours for of the solo drum career, another 15-20 hours with t'other half, and at least 20 more hours with various mates around. It may have been expensive but I do feel I'm getting my money's worth.

Man, where have you been. :)

Romped through it loads of times with 'The Iron Men'.

Top gaming thrills with 4 players on legendary.

I'd do Halo 2 and/or Halo 3. I never finished either of them. ><

I'd also do Gears of War because I liked it...and Doom because, well, it's DOOM!! I also have a finished Agent in crackdown should anyone want help doing that.

I might like to lark around wtih someone on Crackdown. I've not powered up my driving skills at all, because I don't really like the way the vehicles handle.

After playing GTA IV so much, I reckon now I'd be much better at the Crackdown driving.

:this:

I've barely touched the drums yet, but I'm now halfway through the guitar career on Hard, which has been a lot of work but is immensely satisfying, and about as far through the vocal career on Medium. Then there's at least 30 hours as part of various permutations of the family band.

I've not bothered to finish the Halo 3 campaign or Gears Of War in solo mode, so I'd be well-up for co-opping either. As those who were around for my single appearance on CoD4 multiplayer can attest, my console FPS skills evoke terror and disbelief in the hearts of strong men.

We have, three or four times :)

It's still a good idea, though.

doom, I'd play if anyone wanted me (so that I could rampage through the level, leaving you all behind, again)

Crackdown, I am lacking a few coop based acheivements.

Halo 3, Have played through on coop a fair amount. Would be more reluctant to do this.

I think it's fair to say those shambolic games of Doom we hard barely counted as co-op.

I have a spare 400 points left over after buying Uno... I may investigate.

Yep.

PS: Don't EVER Google Image search for 'King of the Hill' with safesearch off. The entire internet seems to want Bobby to have sex with his mother (who has, naturally, grown 38HH breasts)... including one downright bizarre picture where he's fucking her THROUGH a tree
