I'm rewatching The Camomile Lawn at the moment, vintage Channel 4 back when it was good. In so doing, I'm reminded of the splendid turn by Jennifer Ehle as Calypso - enchanting enough when gambolling about the Cornish cliffs toting summer dresses and a cut-glass accent, utterly brain-frying when suddenly having a bath in the nip at the Savoy. Some playground quotable dialogue as well.

All of which norkage has got me to thinking - what other classic nakeditute did we as a forum see in our earlier years. In fact, anything good recently, I don't watch much telly?

Another one that springs to mind was Gina Bellman (latterly of Coupling) in Black eyes - another C4 effort I believe and I had no idea what it was about but watched it anyway. And then there was Nice Work which had her from Drop the Dead Donkey getting them out for Warren Clarke of all people.

This is neither a seedy nor a gender-unequal thread - feel free to perve but the nostalgia and significance in the context of its first showing is just as relevant to my interests. Ladies, seen any knobs on telly when you were younger? What did you reckon and whose were they?

Tagged NSFW in case anyone has some pictures.

Is there funcushions near the end of House of Cards when the journalist lass goes mental? Something about "Can I call you Daddy?".

I seem to recall Joely Richardson made good sport of her role in Lady Chatterly's Lover. OH. OOOOOOOOOOOOH. And.... AND Imogen Stubbs in a DH Lawrence adap, not sure if it was The Rainbow or Women In Love. She was Ursula. I previously only knew Imogen as the name of a BBC Micro game that looked ace but I never played.

I think you may be right. Not for very long though if memory serves.

Not necessarily the same type of quality TV, but I recall seeing NYPD Blue and Sherry Stringfield, in a typical US style soft focus taped on sheets scene, back in the very early series. That is the clearest earliest memory I have of thinking 'I want one of them, and I want that type' from some not-quite-TV-scud.

Not my earliest example, but one that definitely stuck in my memory was Alex Kingston in that ITV adaptation of Moll Flanders. And that time C4 showed Betty Blue and I had the forethought to sneakily tape it.

Good old C4. Between Kermode's extreme cinema seasons and Beeb 2's Moviedrome, they must be almost entirely responsible for my taste in interesting, atmospheric, trashy and quite often italian films.

Man Betty Blue just throws the best scene out right at the start. As a teenager you didn't even have time to warm up before it was over.

I have very fond memories of Jennifer Ehle in the Camomile Lawn.

Can I think of those illicit sexy moments in other TV programmes. I'm going to avoid movies as that broadens the remit...

Diana Quick in Brideshead Revisited.
Simone Bendix in The Crow Road

There are loads of others- but the thing is you've scratched a valid itch and I look forward to being, what, enlightened...

Hmm. going to have sweet dreams thinking about this

Helen Baxendale in Cardiac Arrest - elaborate black undies. Not strictly nude or anything but good grief, I wasn't expecting such excellence.

Didn't she shed her clothes in a few made-for-tv things?
