So I've installed Windows 7 and it's painful and hateful and I still hate windows and bloody hell how hard is it to not be shit and fuck me what a balls ache and come on what the fuck why does adobe try to install a load of extra crap with flash, fucking hell it's all flooded back why i've left this crap oh god oh god oh god oh god

But now it's sorted it isn't so bad. Quite nice in fact.

But one of the indie games I wanted to try was a 2D hand drawn game where you controlled a star and you could pay what you like (at least when it launched) - does anyone remember what that is called?

[Other game recommendations appreciated also.]

Surpisingly ungoogleable.

Buy a Mac......

But seriously, my Revo has Vista mk2 Windows 7 on it and its OK. OK so it looks and feels like a cross between XP and a cheap Chinese rip off of OSX but in terms of performance it runs very well indeed.

Thanks for the advice LewieP. I've just tried the demo for flotila (seems pretty good) and bought Ben Here, Dan That & Time Gentlemen please.

WhatAreYouWaitingFor is ace. I donated a fiver based on first impressions. Lovely stuff.

It really does feel, whats the word... hmm.... I want to use 'soulless' but I don't think I can get away with that without coming across like a mac-twat.

That said, after playing with it a bit, it's growing on me. It's a huge step up from XP, and whilst I would hate to use it as my main OS, I'm glad I have it.

Also, just booted back into Snow Leopard and it's ace. A much bigger step up from Tiger than I first thought. The preview thing with 'space' on files is tremendous.

Time Gentlemen Please is one of the worst 2 quids I've ever spent. Atrocious.

I don't think it is so much Microsofts doing, it's just that so many of the third parties on the platform act like douchébags.

But yeah, it's growing on me. Being able to slam windows into the side of the screen to take up exactly half is supremely, insanely excellent.
