So far I had a crazy night with friends on Saturday, a sensible night with the missus, the future-inlaws and my parents last night. Not sure what else, I'm still in bed! :)

Happy Birthday you slags (especially pertinent in Zio's case ;) ) Just think, if you'd been born four days later we could nail you all to crosses in April.

Have a good day you lot.

That's one Razzle Stack I'd prefer not to see. Happy Birthday :)

I am spending my birthday at work, freezing my tits off. Now I have no tits. What a crappy birthday.

That said, I did get Inglourious Basterds on BluRay from my fine brother, who loses a small number of points for wrapping it in paper that said "Merry Christmas" on it, many times over. My parents and girlfriend are donating to the fine charity "Buy Zio some ridiculously posh 5.1 speakers", a fine cause which I honestly think we should all be donating to at this giving time of year, but me Ma also got me some Marzipan Fruits, which are known to cure all ills.

Over to you Mr Meaty and Mr Dimmers!

EVENTS (to be updated)
My parents are due any minute to see our newly decorated house. We're then going for a nice lunch in Cardiff Bay, possibly Terra Nova. I then intend taking them for a nice ruby this evening.

GIFTAGE (to be updated)
-car/bike battery charger
-huge set of car cleaning brushes
-iPod Nano 16Gb (tragically, my iTunes collection is over 16Gb so Kate has said 'if it's no good we can exchange it' so I might offer to pay the difference to a Classic)

Thank you all for the good wishes. I am now creaky and OLD and just want my pipe, slippers and some brandy to help me sleep and forget the constant physical pain of existing.

*hack* *wheeze*

I can recommend the Woods Brasserie. I had a cracking steak there last week, with the best chips I've ever tasted. It's opposite Harry Ramsden's.

Remember the really nice place we went to for the Egg's birthday a few years back? They have another restaurant really near you.

I have just woken up to find a post thing through the door saying someone hasn't paid enough postage on something so I have to. I bet it's that eBay thing. Bloody birthdays.

I'll lay you some pipe in Madchester.

In the meantime, enjoy your birthday!

I imagine Dimrill is running around the woods dressed as a horned carrot, dry humping thickets and filling his Wicker Pig with cuppa soup.

We ended up in the Terra Nova, which was fine except it was really cold inside (all their windows leading onto decks - great in summer, drafty in winter) and there were nasal Americans at the next table, nasaling loudly (OWH MY GAWWWWWDDDD).

Ah. Well, in retrospect, that would have cost a fortune in taxis, but we went to the Juboraj Lakeside. My dad was dried out by the air conditioning in the hotel and so found the curry 'dry' (an impressive feat given how much sauce he had) while finding himself bloated and ill from sitting next to the radiator. My mother found her Makhani Chicken not to her liking (she prefers curries without as much sauce) but was fine otherwise. Kate and I had no complaints.

When I tried to placate their complaints and said 'I don't normally come here' I was given the treatment for not taking them to our usual, less-posh curry place in Caerphilly.

Oh well. They got me a really nice leather jacket so I'm well pleased!
