Is Broon going to do the decent thing?
I think he's going to hold out a bit, but in the end he'll have to call an election, so my money is on
July 30th.

I said June last year*. I think I was wrong.

October 8. Tory majority 30-45.

I think there should be a prize. A Zoolander DVD, or something.

Yes, but traditionally, elections are on a Thursday. I see Zardoz has gone for a Tuesday.

That doesn't mean a general election though.

Also, all this will blow over in a few weeks.

Well, you all chose dates in July so I went for my brothers birthday.

The only chance he's got is if no-one turns out so I'll go for December 24th.

Umm... I hate to break it to you but we don't actually elect PMs.

Major was the last one (leaving asides the semantics of unelected) and he wasn't around as long before an election as Brown.

I think it's Churchill you know, and he's unlikely to be beaten since he managed over 5 years.

They won't call one until next year, I reckon. They bloody well should, but of course they won't. Frankly I half hope they don't yet, as that would give them and the Lib Dems some time to bolster up and hold back the tories - I don't want labour to win, but I don't want a landslide either.

24,278 people did, plus anyone who actually knows how the system works.

EDIT : And voted for a labour candidate, natch.
