Yes, Christmas is nearly here, and what better way to celebrate than to do a daily Heardle but made up of songs that are actually good (chosen by Mimi and I).

Head on over to https://christmasheardle.glitch.me to play!

I think it’s quite a difficult one as the first few seconds bear very little relation to the actual song.

The songs are all from my Christmas playlist that I’ve been curating for many years now.

Also, Christmas Heardle comes with a no-Whamageddon guarantee. Last Christmas may be in there, but if it is it will not play until Christmas Day at the earliest.

Is today's one on the Gremlins soundtrack?

I think this has made me realise I know plenty of Christmas songs, I just have no idea what they're called.

Thanks for this, BTW. It's great!

Who knew Darlene Love did so many xmas songs?

The Phil Spector Christmas album is a thing of joy. If you can get over the whole Phil Spector things naturally.

So many good Christmas songs on it.

I managed to get it in one, so there’s definitely enough to get it.

It was actually quite difficult choosing the increments when we set it up, for exactly that reason. You only want a very brief first burst, but that means some songs with a second of quiet at the start can be missed, but having a two second first go meant everything was too easy. We played around with it, trying 1.5 seconds, etc, and the current set up seemed to be the best with those things considered.

Oooh, what a stinker! Did you get it on a subsequent go? I think a pretty easy one as soon as you hear the voice, even if you don’t know the song.
