I agreed that a change to the wording might be good, and you seemed to ignore that.
Fair enough. You were incredibly subtle about it, I must say.
Anyhoo, blah blah. What the fuck would you change it to?
How about something along the lines of "The spirit of the game is that you are all gathered in a town square (or wherever) and talking. Anything you wouldn't be able to do verbally shouldn't be entered into your posts, save for quoting other players or making votes"?
I don't think in this case, I did anything that I ouldn't have done standing in a village square. I basically just repeated my 'role', which turned out to be fake, which unkown to me was almost a carbon copy of a secret hidden role in the game that I wasn't aware of.
We have decid what it is about my roleclaim makes people feel it is unfair to decide where to to draw the line. Would it have been better if I had just said I'm a spy? because if I was really a spy, I'd hav had more info than that. So should I have given my role description and night actions etc? If so, was it just a matter of copying Troopers formatting? because again, I really don't think that's an issue. Any player in the game could have done that, I was making it all up not using info that only some players were privvy to.
If I had wanted to roleclaim as a Swiss, I could have copied the text and formatting from the rules thread, although that would be unecessary because everyone could see it anyay so I don't see why it matters for a fake claim. The fact is, people saw through it (damn me for choosing Bobby!) so it proves that it was an invincible strategy. I don't think it's a big deal.
