Specially since you've posted it a few times (the mis-translation anyway) - and I knew Holly was the cop in the Scum game since it was me :-)

A nice start and I'll have a think about some ideas for rounds

throwing a few ideas out

----------------------------------------------------
Give each team captain an image to describe which they must do in X words - all descriptive information must be in the main thread - each member of the team must submit their own version of the drawing to you before the time limit - bonus points if they can also draw (or get close to the other teams).
-----------------------------------------------------

Pick a song and get them to sing it (line each ? - as in record it and upload the MP3 somewhere)

-----------------------------------------------------

Give each team a list of things that they need to submit images of not something they can google) - so a scavenger hunt.
(things like Todays newspaper - a cheese sandwich - a bird - another Beexer (not you) - an achivement poping on Xbox.

I was thinking of something along these lines, but a scavenger hunt is a great idea. Cheers!

Baking challenge! Make and ice a Beex-related cupcake. Bonus points for getting a celebrity to pose with it. Double points if they eat it, triple if they don't go to hospital.

Dance-off! Each team must post a video of a dance routine to $embarrasingsongtodanceto.

Who am I? Each team captain is given the name of a celebrity (dead or alive) and must answer the other team's questions as that person until their team guess who they are. Or perhaps the name of a non-playing Beexer.

Team Unicorn Power has got non-players taking pictures for them. Do we think that's within the rules?

Can't do the cupcake challenge until Trooper is out!
I might do the danceoff one for the weekend, though.

re-reading the task definition

Quote:
Please clearly label what your photo is of, and who took it if it wasn't the person posting.

Would make me think that it would be allowed

Although the line about more than one dog suggested to me the person walking the dogs (not the picture of the dogs that Kovacs posted)- since the task runs until Monday if you want to make it that the pictures *must* be from the team directly then you should post that today.

That was in case someone posted something in their team thread but then got evicted, so couldn't put it in the main thread, but I can totally see the confusion.

The first thing in the rules is
Quote:
You must take pictures of real things
and the main ruleset clearly states
Quote:
You may not discuss the game in any way except for in the appropriate subforum (ie. the Mafia one, or its children).

My main problem is that the Barcode Battler's haven't even considered it (neither did I, to be fair), so I need to make it clear either way.

Er.

Er.

In which case I'd post in the unicorn thread saying that as GJ did not take the image herself its not valid - and point out the other broken rule (discussing outside of the forum) - then post in the main thread to clarifiy that the pictures *must* be taken by team members themselves.

Call my bluff - This could be done with words and each team challenging the other to identify the bluff, but would probably be too easy to search for. So, perhaps get a member or two from each team to write three statements about themselves and post them. Two are truthful, the other one is a complete lie. The other team has to work out which are the bluffs (they should be encouraged to pick apart the stories and use the threads to interrogate each player)

Nice - i could see that working - it helps if they have people in each team who know something of the others.

I just keep thinking back to ISIHAC rounds - wonder how Sound Charades would work for this - if you want to do something very 'instant' you could have movie / book / song titles given to the team captain and they have to write up a scene to explain them and the first person to post the correct answer gets a point - first to 5 wins

(Sound Charades wikipedia page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Charades )

Can't follow that format, though, as they'd just check on Google. Crossing it with "Would I Lie To You?" would be perfect.

It's funny as I found it easy to tell. It's the one that's trying to appear false. Mali provided too much detail to believe him, and troopers is too easy to believe.

I think its stretching it a bit - i would be thinking fox / badger / squirrel / deer as in something non-domesticated that you could see in this country (although a picture from a zoo of virtually anything would count).

It's an animal, and it's wild. Short of altering your original request, I can't see a way you can justifiably refuse it. "I was thinking you'd do something different" isn't quite enough, really.

Yeah your right - it should stand.

Team unicorn are having really difficulty working out that if Troopers thing is a lie they wont have the chance to test this out before a meet :-)

And I cant really believe that they are asking so few questions

As an example for Troopers one -

How many credit card cards have you ever owned ? (which GJ touched on in her comments)
<wait for an answer>
What were the expiry dates of them ?
And then start digging into the details of this talent of his.

For Malia - whatever he posts is going to sound awesome so why not ask why he's chosen that as a story - what colour shirt was he wearing - etc

For Kovacs dig into the detail - they entered the competition did they win - what did david bellamy say - are there any pictures of this - when exactly was it - etc etc

I would have thought one of the problems here would have been too many questions being thrown (and that Taskmaster may have had to come in and start to put limits on it saying things like you can only ask 4 more questions of Malia) but Team Unicorn seem to just think they will get away with a 1 in 3 random chance ?

You vote out whoever you think is a strong player on the other side - okay i'm in a better position than the others but I'd be voting to get rid of Trooper and even going with whats in the main threads so far he posted the winning crossword puzzle answers and convinced them he was telling the truth when he was not.

Yes they can - however I think they should have been pushed more for it - and the more details the supply the more likely they are to make a mistake.

Only just noticed this thread, but yeah, it was the right thing to do - I did think it read as though other folk could take the photos which I thought was a little odd. It was a good excuse to dust off my Game Gear stuff though.. although it turns out my main Game Gear was knackered so had to dig out one of my spares. :)
