Anyone know how to put them in? I've searched all over the place and none of the supposed solutions seem to do anything. Or at least I don't know how to activate it properly.

Do you want the links to go to the next/previous article or are you trying to paginate one article over several pages?

That's great as long as you know what 'The Loop' is. I'm sure I'll work it out..
(After checking)
Okay so the loop thing is supposed to say If ( Have_posts ) or something like that, in the index.php.
My chosen theme (Carrington blog) doesn't seem to have that in its index.php.
Thank you for attempting to help anyway.
I've got this sorted now. Just thought I'd let you know.

If you haven't got the loop then you haven't got any content/posts.
Any more help you need, hit me up. I get on quite well with wordpress' stuff as it makes sense to my brain.

Carrington blog works in a different way it seems. There was def no loop in index.php
