Right, I have Windows 7 Ultimate, and a USB mobile broadband modem.

The Funsquare is plugged into the laptop via an Ethernet cable.

I did have the broadband shared so the Eggbox could connect. And it worked. However, it has stopped now. Whenever I do the fault finding thing, the Test Network Connection fails. In Windows Explorer, I can see the XBox under Media Devices, so the NIC is working.

When I go in Network and Sharing Center, it shows the Internet connection is under Broadband to go, but Local Area Connection under Unidentified network.

I suspect something is going on with Home/Work/Public settings for the network. I also installed Virtual PC. What should I be checking?

Uninstall the virtual pc and see f it starts working again.

If it does it wasctgrvirtual pc. If not then you have to burn the pc and only have the xbox.

That sounds familiar. Try disabling and then enabling your network card in Control Panel|System|Device Manager.
