Nope, but post your questions anyway. Elements, supposedly, has a fair bit in common with full-blown Photoshop, which I have.

Aye, for most users, they're functionally identical

I have naughty versions of Photoshop. Basically I want to go legal but I don't know if I should spend £60 on something that won't do what I do.

I need to know if.

It supports plugins.

It does gradients, strokes, opacity and so on (all the tools I use to draw objects).

I grabbed a demo, going to give it a go now and then decide whether to buy it or not :)

It looks like it does, yes.

I'd be astonished if it didn't. So: yes.

I think it's got most of the obvious stuff & it's just the backend that's changed. Stuff that your average user wont go near (not sure what that means for plugins). The demo can confirm or deny though.

Prepare to be astonished :(

It does strokes, outer glow etc but it doesn't have patterned strokes or gradient strokes.

Literally within 10 seconds I started to realise the limitations. Oh well, nice of Adobe to give a 30 day trial. Saved me from wasting £60.

It doesn't have layer opacity settings either. So it's completely useless :D

Well, it does the basic stuff you asked in your original question, so I'm not particularly astonished. I don't think I've ever used a gradient stroke, but I use pattern strokes fairly regularly in Illustrator.

Still, it's not for you, so stick with Photoshop.

They can do surgery for that now.
