I've found that one of the most challenging parts of lockdown has been the wrangling over preferred video conference channel, which seems to accompany every new evening of virtual drinks. People become quite defensive, I've found.

I was a staunch hangouter but have been increasingly annoyed by lack of grid view, and the grid chrome extension needs a GSuite account to set up the Meet. Bah.

I reckon I could drop in on this from work, the staff on site tomorrow will, interpret "i'm on a zoom call" as "I'm doing some work" just about enough for me to be able to get away with it.
