Mice, Mices, Mouses!

My current gigabyte wired mouse is playing up.

I am tempted to go wireless, it is for work, not gaming. I don't have small hands either.

What do you lot use?
Any recommendations?

I've always liked Logitech ones, I like a free-spinning scroll wheel myself rather than the notched kind.

Actually I think that's more like what I have. I seem to remember it was about sixty quid at the time.

I have the wired version of that (the M-U0007).

If you don't have a Steel Series mouse mat, I really recommend one.

I have the same mouse as Gaywood and it's ace. There's a little button on it which changes the wheel from a notched wheel to a freewheeling wheel.

The battery light on mine is usually on for about a month before I actually bother changing them, which is usually about once or twice a year or something.

Remarkably, I am able to use a "gaming" mouse for tasks other than gaming. It's the most comfortable mouse I've ever used.

For my laptop I use a HP X4000b, which has the advantage of being bluetooth rather than proprietary wireless, so no dongle is required. I pair it up with a set of these so I don't have to worry about carrying a charger or spare batteries everywhere I take my laptop.

Get one with a wifi dongle thingy and not a bluetooth one. The battery will last for over a year of daily use.

The Performance MX has a built-in charger, takes a standard uUSB cable, and even if totally flat can recharge while you use it. So no need for spare batteries.

Same, and I use a mouse. The heel of my hand stays where it is and only my fingertips move slightly.

Surely I'd get RSI if I moved my hand around more?

I'm only going by experience - high sensitivity mice where all you move is fingers ot wrists = high tension and pain. Low sensitivity mice that force you to move your entire arm = Easier movement with a larger target and no pain.
